I recently had the opportunity to photograph a wonderfully charming Key West B&B owned by Les Vollmert and Paul Masse.  My in-laws stayed at the Knowles House eight years ago during my wedding week.  So, I already knew the place had the ultimate endorsement ;-)

Shopping for cigars in Key West

Being the awesome wife that I am...I went out to buy my hubanero some of his favorite cigars. I went to his usual spot, Key West Cigar Club & Smoke Shop (formerly Grumpy's) on Duval (almost corner of Eaton St.) It's my favorite stop because the guys who own/manage it just love what they are doing. Which, in turn, makes it a fun stop for me. Meet John:

And, they'll even box up your cigars for shipping and pose for a photo or two, or three, or four...

Skyping in Key West

So I went for a walk a while ago in the neighborhood. And this is what I love about Key West. You walk everywhere and you never know what you will see or who you will meet.

I saw this beautiful girl sitting in her front yard, laptop on her lap and sassy bag and cute doggie at her feet.

I had to stop and take a picture. Had to. The best part is that you connect and share a moment. Taylor was skyping her dad who is in the armed forces. He is far, far away (in Iraq or Kuwait -so sorry, I have forgotten exactly where ;-). Point is, I love it when technology works and helps us connect.
